Symptom: The seats, steering wheel, or cabin buzz while you're stopped in Drive, or the car shudders when pulling away or at certain engine speeds. These were the first CR-Vs with a direct-injected engine and a CVT.
Likely causes
Honda's bulletin splits this into three modes:
- Stopped in gear. The fix replaces the radiator lower cushions, the CVT mount, and the front head restraints.
- Pulling away, around 1,000–1,200 rpm. The fix is a PCM software update plus a tailgate damper kit.
- Cruising, around 1,800–2,200 rpm. The fix is PCM software only.
Cost
According to our search results, mode 1 falls under the powertrain warranty and modes 2–3 under the emissions warranty. Most of those warranties have run out, so ask the dealer about goodwill coverage. We don't have reliable out-of-pocket prices yet.

Shop. The software needs a dealer. Experienced DIYers can replace the mounts.
